How to live? Like a bawws

Being Buddhist means to look up to the Buddha who discovered and founded the religion. Individuals should have confidence in the Dhamma (liberation law) and Sangha, those who have achieved liberation law. You become a Buddhist after the first time you think or pronounce "I take my refuge in the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha", and you must mean it from the heart. One should follow Buddha's advice. A Buddhist in Sweden lives a normal life with jobs and family. There are no special rules for either clothing or food. Many Buddhists eat only vegetarian food, but there is nothing that forbid a Buddhist to eat meat. For an everyday-Buddhist, it's hard to follow the eightfold path. That is why the five moral rules define and describe the four stages. The rules are those who follow next; First, do not kill - Never take any living creature's life. Second, do not steal - Never take anything that doesn’t belong to you. Third, do not be cheating – Don’t do that for yourself or others by being careless with your body and your emotions. Take life seriously. Fourth, do not speak untruth - Do not lie, stand up for what you do. Fifth, do not use intoxicants - Damage never yourself by using drugs that damage your body, your thoughts or your feelings.

One should follow Buddha's advice.

siddharta

hur skapades buddhismen?

Thats all for me // BoB

Buildings and writings!

Buddhism has a monastery as a sacred building. Dagoban is the center of the monastery. The walls are filled with scenes from Buddha's life. Some Buddhists have even a small altar at home. They pray to Buddha, even if he's just a great role model and no God. In Buddhism also priests can be married and do not have to wear any special dress, as monks and nuns must. Buddhist sacred writings called Tripitaka (three baskets). The three baskets comprises: Canons basket (monastic rules), learning numbers basket (sermons of the Buddha), and still more to learn (philosophical reasoning).

The feasts

Buddhist ceremonies stand out especially for the joy and inspiration. Feasts are when you can be together with those you love. As for the various festivals, highlights some important events in Buddha's life. Some examples are his enlightenment, his call to spread the teaching. Some common traditions of the religion are: Buddha Day (Vesak), Dharma Day and Sangha Day.

It's your life

In other religions they believe that when one is "good" you end up in heaven and if you are "bad" you end up in hell. Like God sitting and keep the peoples scores. The buddhists can´t agree with that, in Buddhism there's no definite God who rules over the people. According to Buddhism, the human has his own responsibility to find the way to happiness in life. No one can find a way for you or tell you what to do. Some non-Buddhists believe that Buddhists don't believe in God. While it may be true that a Buddhist doesn't have the same type of belief as other religions, it would not be fair to say that Buddhists don't believe in God. Buddhists do believe in a higher form of consciousness. Which we all strive for, we in the group thinks that theirs reflection is better. Because every person have the right to live after her own condition.

Perfect sense

Men man ser rätt cool ut då. FRED UUUT!

WHO WAS BUDDHA?

Buddha who grounded Buddhism, was born as the Prince Siddhartha in India, 2,500 years ago. At birth, he was predicted to become a great ruler or a savior. He grew up in a palace, isolated from the real world outside. At Buddha's time, many people were Hindus, even he was one. Hindus believe in reincarnation and the world soul. The Hindu creed also believes that the choices people make’s in their lives, is reflected in their later life after death. Our society consists of different caste. Buddha, who was Prince, belonged to the highest caste. But a life in luxury and to get everything you want, was nothing that satisfied him. Although he had a wife and children, he wasn’t happy. He had not experienced grief, disease or agedness. He felt empty and depressed in the palace, as a prisoner in the prison of ignorance. After many years he decided to come out from the palace, to "see the world” but also to find he’s own way to happiness. He took a servant with him and they slip out. After just a few hours "in the real world" Buddha had seen people who had experienced both sorrow, sickness and agedness. You could say that he was able to see the world from a different perspective now. PEEEACE OUT!

We will dive in

FRED UUUT!
